County staff to brief Board of Supervisors on Collinsville Water-Dependent Industrial Area and proposed shipbuilding project concept; discuss next steps
SOLANO COUNTY – At their meeting on Tuesday, April 22, starting at 2 p.m. in the Board Chambers, located at 675 Texas Street, Fairfield, County staff will present a background report to the Solano County Board of Supervisors on the Collinsville Water-Dependent Industrial Area and the current allowable uses under the County's General Plan. This area has recently gained attention as a potential site for a shipbuilding project, discussed in media reports and by various cities and regional entities, and put forward by the proponents of the East Solano Plan (California Forever), who own the land under discussion.

SOLANO COUNTY – The Solano County Department of Health and Social Services, Public Health division, is observing April 7-13, 2025, as National Public Health Week, a time to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to improve our nation. This year marks the 30th anniversary of National Public Health Week and the community is invited to join Solano Public Health to celebrate successes, look ahead to upcoming challenges and create a vision for the future.

Solano County joins Bay Area health officials to urge vigilance as measles cases rise in the U.S.
SOLANO COUNTY – With measles on the rise nationally, and recent cases in neighboring counties, Solano County has joined Health Officers from the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, Napa, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Sonoma and the city of Berkeley in urging everyone to be up to date on measles vaccinations if they are not sure if they got it or if they did not have measles as a child, and to be aware of the signs and symptoms of measles after travel or exposure.

This free community event is designed to assist individuals in clearing past felony and misdemeanor arrests and convictions, giving them a fresh start and the opportunity to fully engage in society.
